Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

I need an image, how does this service work?

The process is very simple, as an Image Shopper, you post a request for a specific image, photographers review the request and if they feel that they can deliver, they will place a bid. The bids will include a price, days it will take the photographer to deliver and a short description. At any point in time, after one or more bids have been submitted, you can choose a specific bid and accept it. At that time, you will be put in touch with the photographer to finalize the transaction.

Take a look at the posted image requests. If you find a request for an image that you think you can deliver, study the request, ask the shopper any questions you might have, and if you are ready, submit a bit. Specify a price you are looking for, how many days it will take you to complete the assignment, and add any other comments about the request or your experience. If your bid is selected, you will be notified via email, and you will be put in touch with the shopper to finalize the transaction.

What’s the cost for this service?

The service is absolutely free to use. Image shoppers, you will of course have to pay the photographer the agreed upon amount after the transaction is completed.

The requests are automatically removed from the site when the deadline date passes. The requests are still available in the My Stuff area for your reference. You can also manually close or re-open your request at any time in My Stuff area.

What about model release, royalties or other terms of use for the image?

I have submitted multiple bids, but don't have a review yet. Why?

We have implemented a review system primarily to review users of the system (photographers and people requesting images), not images. Therefore a review can only be submitted once a transaction has been completed, meaning once an image requestor has accepted a bid from a photographer. At that time both the photographer and the image requestor will have an opportunity to review each other.
